AlumaPress Float Plaques:

AlumaPress Float Plaques use dye-sublimation printing, where the image is infused directly into aluminum. This process creates stunning, long-lasting prints that meet and even exceed industry standards. The result is artwork with rich, vibrant colors and a striking sheer metal base that gives the piece a luminous, iridescent glow.

Each plaque has a glossy finish that highlights the bold, modern feel of metal while keeping your artwork protected. The back is coated with an acid-free black finish and fitted with a 1/2” recessed black backing. A concealed French cleat hanger is built in, giving the piece a sleek “floating” effect when displayed on the wall.

Material and Sizing
Made from premium, 100% recyclable aluminum, each AlumaPlaq is built to last. The front is 1/16” thick aluminum, paired with a sturdy 3/4” aluminum tube backing for support. Every piece is laser-cut with precision and hand polished for a smooth, finished look from front to back. The overall depth is 13/16” from the front face to the wall (depth may vary with larger combined pieces). Standard sizes are available up to 48” x 96”, and with certain finish restrictions, up to 50” x 120”.

Surface Finish Options
Each AlumaPlaq features a hand-applied swirled finish on the raw aluminum, giving it a sleek, modern look. Please see the care section for cleaning and maintenance instructions.

Edge Options
The AlumaPlaq has a clean, straight-cut aluminum edge with slightly rounded corners for a modern finish. When submitting artwork, please keep signatures and important details at least 1/4” from the edge to allow for trimming during production.

Shipping and Handling
Plaques usually take 2–3 weeks to create and ship. Your artwork will be carefully packaged by professionals who specialize in shipping large-scale art, and it will be delivered straight to your door.

Prices
Prices vary depending on the size you choose. Feel free to email me with questions or to request a custom quote. Here are some common sizes for reference:

  • 12 x 18” plaque — $120

  • 16.5 x 25” plaque — $200

  • 24 x 36” plaque — $310

Hanging System:

Instructions for installing a wall-mounted chalkboard, including using a level and wall anchors.

Your canvas comes ready to hang, complete with appropriate hardware for most traditional wall installations. For most artworks, a French cleat hanger will be used.

A French cleat is a professional hanging system that uses two interlocking pieces. One piece is securely attached to the back of your canvas, and the other mounts to your wall. When the two pieces slide together, they create a strong, stable connection that keeps your artwork level and flush against the wall.

This system is widely used in galleries and museums because it supports the weight of the artwork evenly, is very secure, and makes it easy to hang your piece without worrying about crooked frames.
